Common Questions
Do I need a doula if I'm planning an epidural?
Absolutely. An epidural can ease physical discomfort, but it doesn't replace having someone in your corner who knows your preferences, can advocate for you with your care team, and offers steady emotional support. I'm honored to support mamas through every kind of birth, medicated, unmedicated, and everything in between.
When do you typically arrive during labor?
It depends on how your labor unfolds, and we'll talk through what feels right for you at your prenatal visits. In general, I aim to be with you once you're in active labor. I'm always just a phone call away in the meantime, so you never feel like you're navigating early labor alone.
What if my labor is very long, or very short?
Either way, I'm with you. Continuous support is part of every birth package, so a longer labor never means an extra charge. And if things move quickly, I'll get to you as soon as I possibly can and stay by your side through the rest of your birth and those first tender hours afterward.
Do you support all birth settings?
Yes, hospital, birth center, and home births. Wherever you choose to bring your baby into the world, I'll work alongside your care team to help you feel calm, supported, and confident in your surroundings.
